I believe that art has the power to transform society by promoting social cohesion, enhancing community well-being, inspiring innovation and turbo charging economic development. At its best, art can speak truth to power and reframe public debate about politics and policy. Being recognized by Artlink is a profound honor.

It reaffirms my commitment to championing initiatives that integrate art into our daily lives, enriching our collective experience.

I have always been influenced by something beautiful. The arts have given me ways to look at the world and art impacts us emotionally, it changes us and hopefully helps us know and express ourselves.

Being recognized by the prestigious Artlink organization is a significant honor demonstrating the power of one passionate individual to communicate the importance of art and culture to others. This enhances our understanding of the arts and strengthens our community and how we see the world.

Devney Majerle

Downtown is the heart of our city, and the arts and culture community contributes mightily to the strength and vibrancy of our urban city center. Phoenix is a creative city, and I’m proud to say the advocacy work of PCA has helped businesses partner with the arts to attract and retain talent, maximize innovation, and contribute overall to the community and economic development in Phoenix.

Artlink has helped our city understand the incredible creative talent we have right here in Arizona, and the next level ideas that can come from including artists in the conversation.
