For decades, Artlink has brought together artists, businesses, and community partners who care about Arizona’s creative future and want to shape it in purposeful, strategic ways. Together, this cross-sector collaboration is shining its spotlight on Phoenix, our capital city.
Shaping Phoenix’s creative future
Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the nation, and with that status comes an opportunity to be intentional about the kind of place we want it to be.
Nearly ten years of work by the Friends of Phoenix Public Art (FPPA), a private nonprofit organization, helped elevate Phoenix’s role as a leader in public art and highlight how arts and culture enrich daily life across the city. That work now continues through Artlink, following a transition shaped in conversation with community leaders, city partners, and cultural advocates.
What this looks like in practice
Building on that foundation, Artlink designs and champions cross-sector partnerships throughout the City of Phoenix to:
- grow resources,
- create new creative and career opportunities, and
- build a robust, relevant brand that tells our city’s stories as we want them to be told.
Through this work, partners align around shared priorities, take strategic action, and amplify what’s working—so creative people, places, and ideas can grow and thrive, strengthening both our economy and our quality of life.
Articipants across Arizona receive updates, opportunities to share perspectives, and invitations to gatherings and activities, with additional Phoenix-focused updates and opportunities for those in the City of Phoenix. This reflects the mission and partnerships carried forward from FPPA, even as Artlink continues its expansive statewide work.
