Dear Friends of Artlink,

For decades, Artlink has brought together artists, businesses, and community partners who care about Arizona’s creative future and want to shape it in purposeful, strategic ways. While our statewide connections continue to grow, this cross-sector collaboration is currently shining a spotlight on Phoenix, our capital city.

Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the nation, and with that status comes an opportunity to be intentional about the kind of place we want it to be.

Over nearly a decade of advocacy, the Friends of Phoenix Public Art (FPPA), a private nonprofit organization, helped elevate Phoenix’s role as a leader in public art and highlight the ways arts and culture enrich our daily life. That work now continues through Artlink, following a transition shaped in conversation with community leaders, city partners, and cultural advocates.

Building on the foundation laid by FPPA, Artlink will design and champion cross-sector partnerships throughout the City of Phoenix to grow resources, create new creative and career opportunities, and contribute to a robust, relevant brand that tells our city’s stories as we want them to be told.

As this work takes shape, partners will align around shared priorities, take strategic action, and amplify what’s working—so creative people, places, and ideas can grow and thrive, strengthening both our economy and our quality of life.

Everyone who cares about Phoenix’s creative future is invited to be part of the conversation.

In the coming weeks, you will begin to see this work woven throughout Artlink’s services and events—such as the Articipant program, Art Detour, and Art d’Core Gala—as well as through new opportunities to connect, participate, and share your perspective.

Thank you for taking this journey with us.

Warmly,

Catrina Kahler
